• St Monica's School Carlisle: One of the many School discos we do. We always have a great party here and more importantly the children have an even better time. Nice venue in the main hall which used to be a swimming pool. It was covered over many years ago. I just hope that they emptied it first!
• Bassenthwaite Sailing Club Cumbria: Every year sailors from all over the north of England and Scotland gather on the shores of Bassenthwaite Lake to race their boats at the Annual Regatta.
• Wheyrigg Hall Hotel Near Wigton: There is ample car parking and there are two separate function rooms providing seating for fifty and one hundred people so the Wheyrigg is an ideal venue for conferences, weddings or other family celebrations. I have to add that this photograph does not do the hotel any favours! It really is a nice spot!
• The Tufton Arms Hotel Appleby: The Tufton Arms Hotel provides the perfect setting for any occasion, set against a backdrop for Victorian decor, character and charm. Combined with warm hospitality, excellent cuisine and caring attentive assistance from their team of staff you can be assured of a successful and enjoyable event. One of our favourites!
• The Swallow Hilltop Hotel Carlisle: The Swallow Hilltop is a good choice for conferences, receptions and presentations accommodating up to 500 delegates theatre style. It is an excellent choice for a dinner dance or reception. The Malvern Suite also has the ability to be divided by soundproof partitions into the Mendip and Cotswold rooms - suitable for smaller functions and conferences.
• The Roundthorn Hotel, Near Penrith: The Roundthorn is the perfect venue for that Special Event or Conference. For Wedding Receptions, Civil Weddings, Private Dinners or Parties, Meetings, Training Courses or Presentations, we have a range of suitable rooms for 2 to 200 people. Our Favourite!
• Naworth Castle Near Brampton: Naworth Castle is the private residence of Philip and Elizabeth Howard and can be made available for selected, exclusive events including corporate events, filming (tv, documentaries, movies), pre-booked private castle tours and coach parties (minimum of 20 people). Sadly they are no longer catering for Weddings!
• The North Lakes Hotel Penrith: North Lakes Hotel & Spa offers beautiful surroundings for your special day. You will find a variety of rooms that can be used individually or collectively to suit your guest list. They have a variety of rooms that are perfect for any size of wedding celebrations, from a wedding breakfast for 20 to an evening party for 200 and all the rooms have been granted a civil licence, by Eden District Council, to host civil ceremonies.
• The Hampson House Hotel near Lancaster: Hampson House is not only a beautiful setting for your wedding reception but is now also a licensed venue for the wedding ceremony. Up to 90 can sit down and enjoy a sumptuous wedding breakfast in the comfort of the Regency Suite. This room is also available for your evening reception and can accommodate up to 150 guests
• The Gatehouse Western Lake District: The home of Outward Bound Eskdale since 1950, Gate House leaves a lasting impression on all those who pass through its doors. Whether you visit them for a mountaineering course, a teambuilding event, a wedding or just for a couple of days relaxation, Gate House and its staff create the atmosphere which make them all special occasions.
• The Garden House Hotel Gretna Green: The hotel is perfectly situated for that romantic wedding at Gretna Green. It has a large function room with adjoining bar. It also sports a swimming pool with Sauna and Jacuzzi. The perfect way to relax for your wedding. Great venue for a party with loads of room for everybody.
• Eyam Hall, Eyam, Derbyshire: Eyam Hall, a small but charming manor house in the centre of the plague village of Eyam, offers a glimpse of history in miniature. The wedding was held in a marque in the grounds. Fantastic venue and a great night.
• Dalston Hall Hotel: A warm welcome awaits your wedding party in the Baronial Hall with its great fireplace and Minstrel's Gallery or, for more intimate gatherings, the cosy Fountain Restaurant. The extensive wooded grounds of the Hotel make an ideal place to record your photographic memories.
• The Crown Hotel Wetheral: The Crown Hotel offers beautiful surroundings for your special day. They have a variety of rooms that are perfect for any size of wedding celebrations, from a wedding breakfast for 20 to an evening party for 150, and all their rooms have been granted a civil (wedding) licence to host civil ceremonies by Cumbria County Council.
• Crosby Lodge Hotel near Carlisle: Crosby Lodge with its charming, spacious grounds and walled garden is a superb background for weddings, anniversaries, parties and business or social events. The wedding was in a marque in the wonderful grounds of the house.
