| :: Young lady with cancer taken to Stewart Grand-Prix :: |
Nine year-old Beth from Parton near Whitehaven has had a tumour the size of a tangerine removed from her brain. She has undergone 48 weeks of intensive treatment which has left her so weak she has frequently to rely on a wheelchair. The treatment has involved chemotherapy and numerous blood transfusions. Geoff decided to reward her courage with a trip to Disneyland, Paris. But as usual, Geoff always likes to do things slightly different! Beth and her Mum, Deborah had a long journey to Paris. To break it up a little, Geoff got them bed & breakfast for the night before at The Holiday Inn, Carlisle. They were picked up after breakfast by Stephan in a stretch limousine and driven to Newcastle Airport. They stayed at the Newport Hotel at Disneyland and were treated as VIP guests for the duration of the trip. Beth told her Mum that this was the best Christmas present ever...............Beth and Deborah we all wish you the very best for the future |
